One of the best discoveries from our first season of summer camp last year was mini camp. Designed to be a bite sized piece of crafty Capsule goodness, mini camp gave us the opportunity to get kids creating, making, and socializing, but without an extended time commitment–something we know can be difficult for busy families going in all sorts of directions. The summer mini camp experience got rave reviews from our customers and we loved mini camp so much that when Halloween rolled around we thought we’d try a mini camp dedicated to spooktacular crafts and see if there was interest. We were so happy to have our camp SELL OUT quickly and had a truly terrific time creating ‘terrariums of terror’ and weaving spider’s webs with 13 cuties.
Thanks to popular demand, we’ve decided to continue the mini camp craze. We will now be offering monthly Creative Capsule mini camps at various neighborhood locations such as parks. We plan to celebrate seasonal themes each month and in the 1.5 hours of crafting, kids will typically complete 2 unique projects that they can take home and display & enjoy. Our next mini camp will be on November 17th from 12:00-1:30 at Laird Park. The cost is $28 and spots are limited to 12 kiddos aged 6-12. We are looking forward to making turkey marionettes- a great hand’s on project with lots of fun steps and options for creative customization. We are sure no two will turn out alike!
Interested in signing your child up for one of our mini camps? Register here and check back often. We are about to unveil a great line up of holiday themed camps perfect for the high spirit and cheer of December.
